Information and Communication Technology

The Information and Communications Technology program is undergoing a review. The program is expected to change to a more technical certificate in September 2014.  

Students are provided with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the theoretical and applied uses of information technology in various business applications, including detailed knowledge of several PC applications and operating systems.

Students learn to install, configure and troubleshoot software in both stand-alone and networked environments, and gain exposure to various programming, scripting and mark-up languages. Students will also acquire an understanding of IT in a business environment, develop customer service skills, and train in Microsoft® software products.

Admission Prerequisites

  • Grade 10 Math (Applications, or Principles, or Foundations) with B or higher; and
  • Grade 12 English with C+ or higher.
