Oil and Gas Field Operators are in high demand in the oil and gas industry, and are considered essential personnel to keep the industry running. The Oil and Gas Field Operations program was developed at the request of local industry to address present and projected shortages of skilled workers in this field. Please note that preferred age for practicum placement is 18 years.

Admission Prerequisites

• Provide transcripts indicating Grade 10 level completion that includes: Grade 10 English and Grade 10 Math (Applications or Principles) with 67 per cent (C+) or higher in both; or

• Complete successfully a Trades Assessment in Reading Comprehension, Number Operations, Problem Solving, and Mechanical Reasoning; and

• Attend a mandatory orientation session.
