Plumbers install, alter, and repair water and waste disposal systems. They read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. Plumbers also select the type and size of pipe required for a project and measure, shape, and join pipes according to specifications. You could work as a construction plumber, gasfitter, gas inspector, estimator, business owner or college instructor.

Admission Prerequisites

• Provide transcripts indicating Grade 10 level completion that includes: Grade 10 English and Grade 10 Math (Applications or Principles) with 67 per cent (C+) or higher in both; or

• Complete successfully a Trades Assessment in Reading Comprehension, Number Operations, Problem Solving, and Mechanical Reasoning; and

• Attend a mandatory orientation session.
